Substance Abuse Outpatient Level 1 Program

Our Substance Abuse Outpatient Level 1 Program provides structured, evidence-based treatment for individuals struggling with substance use disorders who do not require intensive inpatient care. This program is designed for adolescents, children, and adults who can safely participate in treatment while maintaining daily responsibilities such as school, work, or family commitments.

Level 1 outpatient care focuses on education, therapy, and skill-building to address the physical, emotional, and behavioral aspects of substance use. Participants attend regularly scheduled sessions with licensed clinicians who specialize in addiction treatment, ensuring individualized care in a supportive and confidential environment.

Program Features Include:

  • Comprehensive Assessment: Initial evaluation to determine substance use history, co-occurring mental health conditions, developmental considerations for children and teens, and personalized treatment needs.
  • Individual Counseling: One-on-one sessions with a licensed therapist to explore triggers, develop coping strategies, and set recovery goals, tailored for each age group.
  • Group Therapy: Peer-based support and skill-building exercises designed for both youth and adults, fostering motivation, accountability, and connection with others in recovery.
  • Family Involvement: Parent and family education, counseling, and support to strengthen the family system, improve communication, and promote a healthy home environment.
  • Education and Psychoeducation: Age-appropriate information on the effects of substance use, relapse prevention strategies, and healthy lifestyle changes.
  • Relapse Prevention Planning: Developing practical strategies and safety plans to maintain long-term sobriety, adapted for children, adolescents, and adults.

Goals of the Program:

  • Reduce or eliminate substance use and related risky behaviors in children, teens, and adults
  • Build coping mechanisms and life skills appropriate to each developmental stage
  • Address co-occurring mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma
  • Strengthen personal and family support systems
  • Promote long-term wellness, resilience, and self-efficacy

The Level 1 Outpatient Program offers a flexible, client-centered approach, allowing participants of all ages to actively engage in recovery while balancing school, work, and family life. By combining therapy, education, and support, this program empowers individuals—both youth and adults—to make meaningful changes and sustain lasting recovery.
